The RAC Has Published the Code of Ethics

Compliance with ethical provisions by arbitrators, parties and their representatives ensures fair and efficient arbitral proceedings. That is why the RAC decided to develop the Code of Ethics which shall regulate the conduct of parties and their representatives in arbitration. The Code of Ethics reflects the international best practices and recognised standards of conduct. The Code of Ethics takes into account specific features of different legal systems and provides for general provisions which may apply to all the parties and representatives equally.

The Code of Ethics shall apply if parties agree or if the arbitral tribunal decides so, after consulting with the parties.

We are very grateful to Mr. Stepan Sultanov (KIAP Attorneys at law) who put forward the idea of the Code of Ethics and provided his indispensable assistance in developing the text.
