Dispute resolution in agricultural sector

To ensure professional resolution of agricultural disputes by means of arbitration the Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration developed specialized Rules for resolution of disputes in agricultural sector  as well as formed the database of arbitrators with an expertise in agricultural disputes.

The Rules for resolution of disputes in agricultural sector were developed  by a specially designated working group comprising leading specialists in this field, as well as taking into account practical expertise of the main stakeholders in this field.

The Rules for resolution of disputes in agricultural sector were deposited in the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in compliance with the Russian legislation on arbitration.

The Rules for resolution of disputes in agricultural sector govern arbitration of domestic and international disputes arising in the agricultural market.

The Rules for resolution of disputes in agricultural sector apply if both following criteria are satisfied:

  • The dispute arose between the participants of a national or an international market of agricultural production, in particular, out of a supply agreement, contractual agreement, contract for carriage, insurance contract, commission and agency contracts, and in connection with them;
  • The arbitration agreement directly specifies the application of the Rules for resolution of disputes in agricultural sector.

The Russian Arbitration Center formed the Database of arbitrators for disputes in agricultural sector comprising leading specialists in agricultural disputes.
