Introduction to International Arbitration by CIArb and the RIMA

Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration is pleased to announce that on August 30, 2018 it organizes an Introductory Course to International Arbitration together with European Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

CIArb was founded in 1915 and now has over 13,000 members in more than 100 countries. CIArb organizes various workshops and conferences aimed at providing arbitrators with a profound knowledge of international arbitration all around the world.

The CIArb Introductory Course to International Arbitration takes place in Russia for the second time. The analogous course organized by the Russian Arbitration Center and CIArb in December 2017 received exceptionally positive feedback from the participants from Russia, Armenia, Israel and South Africa.

The Introductory Course organized by the Russian Arbitration Center and CIArb covers the essential basics of international arbitration: main principles, arbitration agreements, competence of an arbitral tribunal, enforceability of an arbitral award, etc. Francis Xavier SC (Partner at Rajah & Tann, Singapore) and Mr. George Lambrou (Partner at Keystone Law, London) are the leading tutors of the Course.

On successful completion of the Course participants will be able to acquire the Associateship of CIArb (ACIArb) after having passed an online test. The status of ACIArb enables the participants to obtain the status of Member of CIArb (MCIArb) and Fellow of CIArb (FCIArb) in the future.

The Course is conducted in English. The Course fees: 280 euros.
