Independent arbitrator, Head of Private International Law Department at S.S. Alexeyev Private Law Research Center.
Member of the Presidium and the Committee on Appointments for Arbitration of International Commercial Disputes at the ICAC under the RF CCI. Included in the recommended lists of arbitrators of the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Arbitration Centre at the RUIE, the MAC under the RF CCI. Has experience acting as an arbitrator in dispute resolution under the rules of the ICAC under the RF CCI, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Swiss Rules, and others.
Holds the status of member of the Council of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for the Improvement of Arbitration Proceedings, member of the Scientific Advisory Council on International Law Matters at the Ministry of Justice of Russia.
From 2007 to 2018, he was the editor-in-chief of the journals “International Commercial Arbitration” and “Herald of International Commercial Arbitration.” Since 2019, he has been the editor-in-chief of the journal “Commercial Arbitration.”
He was a member of the working groups for the preparation of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (Section VI), for introducing amendments to Section VI of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, for the preparation of Section VII “Private International Law” of the CIS Model Civil Code, for the preparation of the Concept for Improving the Civil Code of the Russian Federation; working groups of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the preparation of the draft federal law “On Amendments to the Federal Constitutional Law ‘On Arbitration Courts in the Russian Federation,'” the Arbitration Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, and the Law on International Commercial Arbitration, for the formulation of a set of measures for the development of arbitration proceedings in the Russian Federation. He also participated in the working groups of the RF CCI for the preparation of the Code of Ethics for Arbitrators of the ICAC under the RF CCI, the Rules on the Organizational Foundations of the ICAC under the RF CCI, and the Arbitration Rules for International Commercial Disputes of the ICAC under the RF CCI.
Author of about 100 scientific publications on issues of international commercial arbitration, private international law, international civil procedure, and civil law.
