Alexei has 25 years of experience advising Russian and international clients on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity transactions, and all matters related to corporate restructuring.
Alexei is recognised as one of the leading lawyers in corporate law by Russian and international rating agencies. A significant part of his experience relates to transactions in the energy, natural resources, retail, tourism, pharmaceutical, and real estate sectors, as well as advising on investments involving state-owned structures, offshore structuring, and protecting assets from hostile takeovers, including the development of litigation strategies.
He graduated from MGIMO and speaks English and French.
From 2007 to 2022, he was a partner at the international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.
