FIAMC Pre-Moot 2020: Results

On 8 February 2020, IV Pre-Moot for Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court (FIAMC) took place with support of the Russian Arbitration Center, Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences and Young Institute of Modern Arbitration (Young IMA).

On 7 February 2020, the Pre-Moot was launched by the traditional conference on the most topical and interesting issues currently discussed within the global agenda of the investment arbitration. Leading experts and practitioners provided their views on state succession to investment treaties and jurisdiction rationae personae in international investment arbitration in terms of control and legal sucession.

During the next day, 9 teams from all over the globe (from universities of Slovenia, Germany, Austria, USA, Belarus and Russia) fought for the title of champion of the Pre-Moot. The arbitral tribunal comprising of Evgeniya Rubinina (Partner, Enyo Law (London)), Stanimir A. Alexandrov (International arbitrator) and Tomas Vail (Founder and Principal, Vail Dispute Resolution (London)) awarded the first place to team of University of Ljubljana and the second place to team of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
