8th DIS BALTIC ARBITRATION DAYS 2019

Ever since 2012, the annual DIS Baltic Arbitration Days Conference has been organised. This is a world-class event gathering over one hundred arbitration experts from over 22 countries. The elite character of the event means that it attracts dispute resolution practitioners, arbitrators, attorneys, academics, students, and business executives from a plethora of countries.

The 8th annual Conference will take place in Riga, Latvia from Thursday 13 to Friday 14 June 2019 at the premises of the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. From the wide variety of topics in the ever-evolving area of arbitration, this year’s Conference is devoted to arbitration in construction and public procurement disputes, current events regarding Brexit and EU and investment arbitration.

In addition to discussions, conference participants are offered a guided tour of Riga, a seaside supper in Jurmala, as well as a spectacular riverboat dinner cruise down the river Daugava. For accompanying spouses, a special programme involves visits to museums and architectural sights.

State Court judges, as well as lecturers and students from State universities from all countries can enjoy free participation at Conference sessions. Additionally, travel stipends are available upon request for students from the CIS, Ukraine, Georgia and Turkmenistan.
